Grassroots Recovery Collective
OUR MISSION:
Compassionately and holistically supporting individuals in recovery by partnering with housing agencies, connecting individuals with a supportive community, providing peer support + harm reduction, and introducing our framework for effective, long-term recovery. We measure success by personal growth over all else.
OUR SERVICES:
We compassionately support the recovery community, specifically members of transitional and supportive housing. We offer a layer of protection for members of sober living communities that operate in the for-profit sphere and have the potential to exploit a vulnerable population. Concurrently, we support sober living businesses by building partnerships and providing resources, peer support, and a framework for effective recovery.
Our methodology includes the use of harm reduction and peer support. The safety of the community always comes first, but we aim to minimize relapses and normalize backslides. We will continue working with the individual if they are able and willing. Our focus is on the broad process of growth and embetterment and the learning experience of getting back on track. We use positive reinforcement to encourage members to create a meaningful life worth living, as opposed to operating in a high standards, high accountability climate, which can result in rigid, fear-based sobriety. All leadership have lived experience and peer support certification.
Our framework includes organizing and managing sober living communities and consulting for associates. We provide operational supplies, recovery tools, and connect members with community resources, in which we have established partnerships. We regularly check in with members to offer support, reinforce their chosen recovery pathways, and provide service work opportunities. Our structure maintains regular adult responsibilities and we seize opportunities to educate and navigate life skills for independent living.
We holistically address other areas of vulnerability that often accompany addiction, such as mental health, trauma, homelessness, reentry from incarceration, grief and loss, domestic violence, and child protective services. We embrace a non-judgemental, humanistic, and individualized approach to recovery and measure success by personal growth over all else.
